Trail Conditions Update:
All Lincoln County trails are closed and it is almost certain that Oneida County trails will close by the end of this week. As you can see from the chart below, this was one of the shortest seasons we have had in Oneida County in the last 20+ years! It was a short riding season due to limited amounts of snow this year, but the groomers did an excellent job working with what Mother Nature managed to give to us. We are thankful for the miles we were able to enjoy!
Membership Totals:
We currently have 482 members in our club with 77 new members. New members at the February meeting included: Brian Mohr, Roger Mientke, and Pete and Jill Treinen. It's always great to see new faces at our meetings!
Club Rides:
The club ride held on Wednesday, February 17 had a pretty solid turnout! There were 12 participants with one new member joining us. The club ride left Twin Bay and was led by Dale Elliott. The ride scheduled for March 4th was canceled due to poor snow conditions. We're looking forward to next year to getting out and riding again!
Nominations:
Nominations will be open at the March meeting held at Holly's for the following positions: President, Secretary, and three Board Members.
Groomer Drivers Appreciation Gift:
A motion was made and seconded to give $50 Chamber Bucks to each groomer driver to show appreciation for a job well done. Thanks to each and every one of you for a great season!
Pontoon Palooza:
The Pontoon Palooza is scheduled and we are looking forward to warmer temps and a fun day! The event is being held July 17, 2021 at The Landing. Volunteers are needed to help setup/clean up, site planning and raffle ticket sales. If you are interested in volunteering, please send an email message to info@northwoodsriders.org
Northwoods Riders Youth Snowmobile Club:
We are still looking for youth and young adults who would be interested in joining the Northwoods Riders Youth Snowmobile Club. If you know someone who is interested in joining, please send us their info or have them contact us at info@northwoodsriders.org
On-Line Store:
Something new and exciting is available to all our members! Jon Marcks, a member of our snowmobile club, has recently set up an on-line store within our website through Café Press. There are over 150 items available to purchase with our club logo imprinted on them. Café Press handles the purchase and the shipping of the items. The club will receive $3.00 for each item purchased. Do you want some cool club swag - sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, glassware and more displaying the club logo? Club Stickers:
Reflective club stickers are available for a $1.00 donation. If you would like a sticker, please pick one up at the monthly meeting or reach out to us at info@northwoodsriders.org
