————————————————-

Each summer the Northwoods Riders Snowmobile Club hosts the Pontoon Palooza in the Lake Nokomis area.  This event has been an annual tradition for over 25 years and grows bigger and better nearly every year.  As the only fundraiser conducted by the club, it is an important event for us, but is also a very popular local event for the community.  Held the third Saturday in July each year, the event is fun for everyone.  There is a stamp-run that involves stopping at area businesses to have a card stamped, then turning the sheet in for a chance to win $1500+ in prizes via a drawing.  Additionally, $100 raffle tickets are sold in the weeks prior to the event, with a cash drawing held at the party on Saturday – the Grand Prize is $2500!  Many participants enjoy collecting their stamps from the water on their pontoon boats – the decorated boats and themes displayed are incredible!  In fact, there is a $100 prize for best theme given away at the party too!  A live band provides entertainment and food and beverages are available from club volunteers.  Anyone can attend the party and stamp sheets can be collected by car, atv, bike or boat.
